RAMco Update

June 24, 2000

We are moving forward with the first production run of RAM-Dnepr units.  They will be 2 colors (all black and all white) Some leading link suspension and some not. Some 2 wheel drive available.

Its taking a long time but is necessary to have them the way we want.  We have been shipping parts to quite a few people whom have older Dnepr bikes that the current parts are the same.

We have factory new engines available for $1095.00 that would be of interest to some owners of older bikes that have engines that had a major problem.

We have also new transmissions and differentials both single and 2 wheel drive for those that have been grounded with broken differentials. point and condenser assembly is another item I'm sure some owners would need.  For the bikes with broken non export wheels we have new chrome 19 inch spoke Dnepr wheels which are a major improvement over the painted non export model which was welded and not very true. New brake shoes, etc, send me a E Mail and I might be able to help you.  If you don't have parts book we have just completed some of those as well....If you need help send us an E Mail and we will get back as soon as we can find time.  Send a phone number if we need to call you to get further information about a part you might need.  Dont worry if you are in another country as we can send parts there as well.

Best Regards to Dnepr Owners

Looks like RAMco now has their shipment in!!  Spare parts are now being shipped, and first customer bikes should be shipped very soon.

From Sheldon:  Many people have asked about pricing.  In conversations with Robert Lounsbury at RAMco it looks like, if they bring in small amounts of these, the pricing would probably be in the $2,200-2,300 range.  If they became popular items and more came in that price could be adjusted.  The actual price has not yet been established and that is just a guess at this time but should be firmed up in a few weeks.

10-19-99 From Lloyd Lounsbury

Hello Sheldon
I am Roberts father and he is in the process of moving his office and also home over next day or two so no E-Mail, Fax, phone etc. He asked me to fwd price of $2195. for the trailers. This includes a hitch that attaches between sidecar and bike on the tube structure that runs fore and aft. It has a nice ball and socket arrangement with a hard mount multi-pin electrical connector (quick disconnect) I'm sure this would work on any sidecar frame with the same tubing base.

On the trailer the tongue is offset (not on center) to track accurately with a sidecar rig. Has all lights including license plate light. No brakes. Black in color. 19 inch wheels interchangeable with bike or sidecar. I will try to get dimensions in and out of the crate today if anyone is interested more data...

Kee3p up the good work. Your page is great.
